hey everyone welcome to to pickle ball and beyond my name is Ryan my name is Vin and today we are looking at the cf3 by standout so voo we were super excited to try out this paddle let’s hear your thoughts on it I mean starting off this.

Was developed by the co-founder of 60 yes um one of our friends was able to do a podcast with her she’s a nice lady we put a link down in our description go check that out it’s a really lovely story um so she has come up with this padle that really um stands out stands out it’s a great name let’s start out there this this I mean just playing with.

It we really surprised on how it plays but even just the Simplicity of the design the the look and feel it it shouts out good great quality comes with like its own uh case as well um very impressed as far as Dimension goes 16 mm we like the 16 mm a bit longer as far as the paddle length goes than the double black diamond and it it reflects in the.

Functionality a little bit as well and one interesting thing is with the surface how they you know it’s a t700 carbon surface but they keep mentioning that it’s a Japanese surface yes yes it’s it’s a nice surface when we have played with it there are some surfaces that are rough yeah but some that are nice and smooth this is this is a Smo.

This is the smoother one and kind of reminds me a little bit of the uh a spade where it was smooth and it really surprised us so how would you categorize this paddle I mean this paddle is the definition of an allaround paddle I mean age and it’s fantastic in all Departments of the power control I mean it is just spin yeah spin I mean it’s.

It’s it’s just great at everything it’s it’s not lacking in anything so absolutely yeah that’s how they um that’s how they marked it on their website and I couldn’t agree more yeah so let’s go straight into control let’s touch a little bit on the sweet spot as well um let’s talk us through it like how did you feel the control was the.

Control on it was outstanding I mean honestly it is ridiculously soft you’re you’re getting close to the levels of like the super widebody paddles like I one of my first like stepup paddles was the cirk amped epic right and I mean this offers like it gives you a lot of those same characteristics as those wide padd so I’m I’m going to just touch a.

Little bit on like usually when we get like a um closer to seven um twist weight right it increases the sweet pot the sweet the The Twist weight on this comes as at 3 uh uh 6.39 mhm it plays closest to a s it plays closer to those ones that have such a large switchb it’s very soft like the paddle ball of wise like you know like it feels like a cloud.

It really does somehow they have increased The Sweet Spot on this whereas it does not um fail on the power Department as well you still get a lot of power and like when you drive from the back you are so surprised but the control on this is really nice and when you go and play your third shots let’s talk about a little bit on that I third.

Shot right off the bat I mean I remember I think I remember the very first time I stepped on the court I think I hit like six straight in a row I was like yep I’m good I could jump right into a game and hit plenty of drops with and it’s long enough that you can even do your two-handed backand third shots very comfortably super comfortable and I mean.

Yeah the control on this the other aspect that I want to make sure to touch on is the resets right it I mean it just it eats the ball yes fantastically I feel s we felt super comfortable and you can maneuver it pretty well if somebody’s ripping drives at you I mean it just it just kill again what I surprised was it the the swing weight on.

This game at about 117 for me it almost played like a 110 like less than like the 115 kind of because you were able to Manu it really fast and we well when we were testing we were playing with lots of other pedals very good maneuverable pedals and this really felt very fast in your hands it comes at about 81 as far as the we it goes it felt very well.

Balanced yes let’s go to Power oh I love the power on that’s what surprised me right you know we we typically start hitting lots of DS third shots and we’re like all right so the power is probably just going to hit like decently and we were just like I hit my first Smash and I looked at you and we like let’s run that back and I was like holy smokes.

This thing like just crushes the ball again it’s not at like um I was playing with the j1h for a while now that’s definitely like still like two tiers above the same as like the gearbox it’s not I’m not saying it’s anywhere near that but like as far as paddles that actually offer some control I could not even I again cuz that gearbox has about.

Almost no control the j1h has some yes but I could not believe how hard I was hitting with this your two-handed backhand drives are phenomenal and what I liked about this is it dwells on it so when you do that two-handed backand you’re getting a lot of T spin on I was going to say you could see we’ll play the clips um my drives both from the.

Forehand and backhand I said I felt like I was getting the ball to your kneecaps I was getting that combination with speed too it was just flying and just really the ball you could tell it really sits on there generated those revolutions it was just getting that deadly combination of speed and spin and when you were serving as well slow or.

Fast you were getting that lovely dwell on it that we like on 16 mm paddles that sometimes you don’t get on therof firm paddles because it doesn’t dwell enough right and I think that was that was another big highlight for me from the spin part of it um how easy was it to uh adapt to it I mean like I said about the third shot drops right away I felt.

Comfortable and I’m looking at starting to maybe make this my main paddle I’m going to go out and give it a shot yes I mean I I felt just so comfortable with it right out of the box so you know it’s all the always nice when we players like try a paddle out but you know it’s always interesting to hear what the pros have to say so we have a couple of our.

Friends that are right now at the at their open that were able to record and send so let’s hear what they say hi J Jon at the US Open I play pro uh P out of Minnesota try cf3 stand out this version is the 16 mil it is a upgraded double black diamonds how I would describe it you have more reach to longer handle you get your grite back in.

On there get a lot more pop up of this padle a lot more spin usually 2,000 RMS are higher and it’s just overall just a better paddle than the original maker um I really enjoy I’ve been doing it since Monday of last week from Monday this super fun I enjoy it a lot I Lally haven’t put it down from play testing so every day I’ve been playing with a good.

Two or three hours and it’s holding up it’s very stable well balanced ooun and what can I say could you upgrade from the original guys Sarah at the US Open here in Naples I got a chance to try the standout cf3 paddle and I got to say I love it so as someone who’s played with the Double Black Diamond this is very similar the.

One big difference that I noticed is the longer handle and definitely a bigger Sweet Spot which is really really nice it’s very gritty the control I get off of it is amazing so obviously as someone who plays a lot of pickle ball we’re Pros in out of Minnesota uh we’ve played with lots of different paddles gotten all the different types of spin can pop.

You can power and this paddle I found my favorite part about it was my third shot drops cuz I like to get a lot of Top Spin on it and I was able to really pull that ball with a good Top Spin and and make it land very close to the edge it’s also very strong very powerful especially in comparison to the Double Black Diamond just doesn’t have the same.

As the standard does so this is a 60 they also with qu te Meal which I’m very excited to try especially for for singles games uh and with that I just would say I highly recommend this pattle uh very strong for your two hand backand especially in comparison to anything that’s uh smaller than a five this is a 5.5 inch handle lots of room for good.

Hand hand grip for hand back hands and uh great control great power great spin I mean all around incredible battle so it’s super nice to hear from some Pro players and now we know a lot of people are already comparing this to the Double Black Diamond so how does it play against it how does it compare so meet us on the courts good dream.

So comparing the double black diamond and the standout just played with both what are your thoughts so overall both of us actually were preferring the cf3 over the double black diamond and starting off with my favorite difference was my drives at this paddle a little bit more power same as on the overheads and I was just getting more Top Spin on.

It I was getting just so much that combination of that with that Top Spin in power I mean the Double Black Diamond does a great job but this was even better it’s just a notch up yeah there’s still power here we’re not saying produce more power yes produce more power with Spin and I think what took us by surprise was when we started off this.

Had more way more control yeah right it’s softer it’s softer so we were expecting this to hit harder but we were surprised how hard that hit we also noticed was resetting this at the kitchen line was so nice yeah it was very smooth um when we saw the numbers that was like a 115 and a 117 as far as swing weight goes.

But just just by a smidge we liked how this felt in the hands how quick it was in the hands I just a little quicker with the stand out which was interesting and finally I know we talked about the spin what would you say between the spin which did you get super comparable but a little more on the a little bit more Top Spin especially in the Top Spin you just.

When we were doing some side ones they both were cutting serves they felt very much the same both had that good turn but you are getting good Top Spin on that so that’s how these two paddles compare so in conclusion I mean obviously we were both unbelievably impressed with this paddle the current MSRP is running at $170 and we currently.

Have a 10% discount code use our code you’re going to get a little bit more uh and for a pedal around the 150 yep I think it’s it’s marked right it’s priced right um it’s easy to take and play and I think there are some some pedals that are hot that I would not recommend for beginners get what I mean this I think a beginner will enjoy intermediate will.

Enjoy and you heard from the pros even the pros enjoy it I think it is a well constructed I mean 60 came up with great paddles yes so I mean she definitely has come and taken this and just built on it and we are very impressed with this this is a 16 mm there is a 14 mm as well soon hopefully we’ll review that as well so thanks for watching another paddle.
