This drill is called 7-Eleven and I’m going to teach you how to play in under 60 seconds how it works one player’s at the kitchen line while the others at the Baseline I’m going to feed him in a ball he has to hit a third shot drop approach the kitchen line and we play it out it’s called 7-Eleven because of the scoring system he has to score seven points and.
I have to score 11 points he only needs seven because he’s at a disadvantage being back and I at an advantage being up this game is great because it really dials in all the skills you would use in an actual doubles match I like to do this drill and see specifically where I’m lacking and then Focus the practice in that direction.
Love this drill
Do you play half or full court when you do this drill?
I play a variation of this drill, where the only time you can score a point is if you are the one starting from the baseline. If you're the net player and win the rally, you don't get a point, but you do get to start the next rally from the baseline and thus have the opportunity to score a point on that rally.
We play that if you hit your 1st shot from the baseline into the net you lose a point(to teach you to always give yourself some margin) Also if you get to the line and start dinking, you get a point even if you lose the rally. But if you get passed while still moving while trying to get to the line, you lose a point. Reinforces what you should be concentrating on during the drill.
I play a version of this drill like the others in the comment section. Great drill.
